Highlights

White: Kurt with the amazing bobble recoveries and catching an already D’ed disc for the layout score. Vic for coming so I didn’t have to play savage lol. Carter for a hand block and other head-on-a-swivel D’s and reliable throws even upwind.

Red: Mary for always being open deep and for coming . Quinn for amazing deep cuts and D’s.

Gold: Neville for some amazing snags that should have been drops except for his quick hands. Dave Brown had the MOST incredible reads. He was not the tallest in those 50/50 grabs but he always somehow always caught it! Sabrina who saved them from playing 4v5 and continuously got open; Huffman who put his body into every layout -- hope you're feeling better!

Blue: Mat for being always open. Nick/Christophe/Dan for the 2 pointers+ layouts. Levi for running for all the 2 pointer attempts

Special bonus shoutout to pickups Nathan and Alec for joining us for the day. Josh for being a trooper and coming out to heckle/support while injured.

Both white and red lacked ladies today so they had to play man down for their 2nd game.

Highlights

White: Corey making a great catch for 2 pointer.

Blue: Peggy did not stop running. Cara had a great catch for a scoober (who knows who threw that) for a score. Scott the taco man who also never stops running.

Gold: Huffman for laying out like crazy; Shawna for inspiring us all to keep our heads on swivels; Dave for consistent cuts and throws all day. Josh with those scores.

Red: Matt D. had some really good d’s! Quinn, Nik, and Mike did the best they could to lead that man-down squad taking blue to uni. Aaron doesn't drop discs. Todd is great.
Special shoutout to Jamie, who is not in league but is a bet winner/taco eater.

Scores

Rainbow game - no scores

Gold v Red: 10-6

Highlights

MVP - Red Team. None of the 3 other teams had enough players to play a game for the first round. Hahaha. Had to combine to play rainbow versus red. Thankfully we all started showing up 30 minutes later.

White - Clyde some dime throws! Beth returns as handler Beth. Recovering lots of wayward discs. Saw some good movement from Kurt. Plus that catching rebound d disc to score.

Blue - Dan Wilson with the 2 pointer nick d. connection. Levi catching wayward discs & recovering rebounds, plus very solid patience. Savannah with good ears, energy, and deep cuts. Plus that catch where 6 people were in the same space but managed to catch the disc to score.  

Gold - Shout out to all of gold for an epic comeback! Started out losing 1-6 and ended up winning 10-6. True team effort!

Red - All the players for attendance! Alex did really well as our only FMP. Great cuts in to viable space and solid reset throws

Highlights

White - Will Sr with a bookends, nice D to stop the score and then helped work it up the field and made a break cut to catch the score. Clyde coming in clutch with a timeout call in the second half of the red game since they were low on numbers and needed to catch our breath.

Blue - Christophe with the dime throws and layout catches. Re-welcome Levi back from his injury. Solid handler movement! Mat the solid cutter and end zone scorer. Such reads today

White - Corey with those dime hucks in the blue game. Carter had some really great catches today.

Gold - Jared because he exists (some great defense, caught a callahan, levitation in the endzone). Josh with his indomitable energy and stamina and for skying Jared to death. Will, Jr for his solid pulls, catching 2 deep balls, and scoring for universe point on blue.

Red - Mary had a wild layout catch on a terribleee scoober for a score but it was like a really good catch!
Blue- second christophe having some great hucks and the team as a whole made a great comeback!

Red - Quinn diving everywhere to recover those discs. Literally every time I thought it was gonna be a turn he somehow caught it. Solid cuts as always. Mary the end zone finisher. JC scored so many against blue!

Gold -Thank you Neville for trading huff for Izzy for a game. Thank you to both Izzy and Kim for joining us and bringing good spirit and skill. Eric also diving everywhere to recover flyaways. Dr. Pribe never stops running. Solid in cuts n scorer. Dave solid smart consistent handling today. Jared had so many hand blocks against white it was annoyingly cool!

Blue - Scott w his energy n cuts. Shout out to Andy for his help. We were so low on numbers. Irish twins Dehoust brothers ramping up the connection towards the end in the red game.  Nick and Jackson had a pair of good connections to get an upwind score. 

White: Kurt would not stop with his cuts and catching everything in the endzone! Corey making solid handler choices.

Tropic Dunder (Blue) - mat martins had such good movement. Unders n deeps. Dan Wilson flying everywhere

2% milk (white) - Beth the beast returns n plays savage. Am told she scored most of their points. Corey with his end zone big boy d’s. Paolo had a great upwind huck.

Strabwerry Shortcake/Parks n red - great handler movement between Nik, Mike, n Godwin. Mike also threw a sick 2 pointer in the Gold game.

Gold - Shout out to Air Huffman! “I’ve never seen someone get that many Ds in one game! It was a minimum of 15, maybe 20.” - Shawna. Shout out to JCP who stepped up to handle on a rag tag team of speedy cutters and he crushed it, going every other most points!

Special mention to ultimate Mike Wong where he ran past like 6 ppl to recover the disc that was meant for Sam DeHoust but overthrown & scored the last point

Blue are the champs! Final high lights from the captains!

Orange-Ezzie, Will, Joe, Juice. Ezzie and Will both had great grabs, Joe had a couple of nice assists, and Juice had all kinds of Ds.
Blue-Ethan, Langston, Hana, Mars. Ethan and Langston were a force for blue, and were about unguardable throughout. Hana had several assists, and Kate looked like the tallest person on the field throughout.
Green-Laura, Fiko. Laura had a bunch of great grabs in the end zone, and Fiko had several dime hammer assists.
White-Jaime, Christophe. Jaime was great on defense for white, getting some key Ds. Christophe was great at moving the disc for white, and had some nice grabs.

Honorable mention:Paolo’s shoulder brace for holding up despite repeated impacts

Highlights!

White-Dan was hugely responsible for the run white went on against us, and made smart decisions throughout. Paolo and Jaime were both huge in shutting down our deep game in the second half which stymied our offense.

Green-Huffman and JCP both put in work for green, winning a whole bunch of jump balls. Laura was a monster all around, getting several Ds and deep scores.

Blue-Blue on the whole played very clean today. In particular Ethan had some great deep grabs and looked unguardable when he was on. Emmett also had some good end zone grabs

Orange-Everyone on orange crushed it on a night where we had low numbers. Mat and Juice won a lot of jump balls and moved the disc well. Beth and Peggy were responsible for most of our scores (stop me if that sounds familiar). Quinn was straight balling! Had several amazing cuts for scores, and if I remember correctly had a super timely hand block, boy was going crazy! He scored most of the first half scores.

Highlights!

Orange-Will, Beth, Peggy, Patrick. Will had a whole bunch of Ds against white (at least 4), Beth had a ton of scores and played great defense, Peggy caught all of our junk, and Pat had a bunch of Ds. Shawna’s words “Peggy scored a million points with some really crazy one handed catches”.

White-Dan W, Matt Joose-Dan was playing incredibly hard, getting multiple Ds and doing his best to run through the wall. Matt Joose continues to be the running man, having a bunch of great grabs and being a huge deep threat. Izzy’s words “Highlight Paolo for the most savage disc wipe I’ve ever experienced”.

Green-Michi, Huffman-Michi was the key to greens defense, getting several poach Ds and being very hard to guard. Air Huffman took flight as Eric had several skies for scores

Blue-Nik, Dan S-Nik had several scores and moved the disc well. Dan S was a force for blue, getting several scores and being big in the air

Highlights!

Green - Matt Dehoust’s D during the white v green game was killer. Abby was putting in her work today and put up a lot of scores for green. Laura was playing great downfield defense both games, and was very effective offensively as well. We were so impressed with Fiko; after playing a tourney that man still had super quick clean cuts, was all over the place!

White - Words from Jake “Paolo and Dan Wilson were dogging me today”. Matt was everywhere. He had several deep scores, and several Ds vs blue. JP played great reset defense and had a number of Ds to boot. Mike Wong consistently got open and was super reliable.

Orange-Beth, Leo, Juice, and Myke. Beth “the beast” “Hammer Beth” Bradley continued her reign of terror with hammers, getting 5-6 hammer scores across our two games. In Leo’s first game as part of tidewater ultimate he had several scores and a couple hand blocks. Juice was consistent with the disc and in the air, and showed great spirit in discussing foul calls. Myke had several Ds and moved the disc very effectively. Peggy did great! Played great D and had some really nice assists too! Izzy’s words “Peggy was dogging me today”.

Blue-Josh and Grace. Josh was cutting very effectively, getting some great deep scores and some nice Ds. Grace was a force on offense, and moved the disc very effectively. Loved Emmet’s energy and effort kept on finding ways to get open.

Highlights!

Orange-Beth caught a ton of scores and threw about a dozen hammer scores. Her hammer completion rate for the night was 100%. Peggy was always open in the end zone, and Spencer+Juice had some great looks with the disc as well as some great defense.

Green- Wes got Ds on back to back points at a pivotal moment against Blue. Fiko played very well on offense as a handler & he had a lot of assists. Michi also worked hard today and the brother/sister duo was on point. Abby worked very well today she scored alot a scores

Blue-Catherine Grossman had a lot of great throws and several pretty looking layouts. Izzy had a ton of Ds and did a good job moving the disc

White-Mike Joose (I think that’s his name) had a ton of great cuts and had a number of good scores against us. Jaime played incredibly good defense and was very difficult to cut against

Honorable Mention- Tierney came as a sub for the day and played 3 games and was so solid and consistent! We counted at least 4 hand blocks and multiple scores.

Highlights!

Orange-Juice and Spencer were phenomenal today. Both were very consistent with the disc and had several Ds. Ben had several skies. Beth was destroying it on O and scored a lot of oranges goals. We eventually lost count of how many goals Beth had.

Juice excellent spirit for calling a foul on himself when appropriate.

Green- Luis and Alex Mudd were both great defensively for green. Their pickups (Jared/Godwin) were alright as well :P. Nolan had a sick layout D during the orange game. Shayla Moreland for jumping in am making an impact immediately.

Blue-Catherine Grossman was moving the disc really well. Ethan and Langston were both putting on a clinic and were dominating whenever they were on the field. Ethan skyed quite a few people during his games.

White-Christophe was great defensively. Ben O’Neil had some nice grabs in the end zone.

Honorable mention-Jaime was huge for us today-don’t think we could have done it without him. - Quinn

Highlights!

Orange: Quote from one of the OJ Captains: “Probably the hardest job as orange captain is singling out people to highlight because everyone is crushing it.” Captain Mat with one T was getting some sick Defensive plays all night. Dan Coletti had some dime deep shots. Justin Maynard and Joe O’Brien were both were making great cuts throughout and played solid defense. Beth make solid catches and d’s all over.

Blue: Grace was killing it offensively. Dan S and Grace were workhorses today. They kept things close in the first half, Dan in particular was everywhere defensively and had a number of nice shots.

Green: Luis was on fire all night on O and D. Wes stepped up well as a handler-he was smart with the disc, and was playing phenomenal defense throughout.

White: Will jr, shawna, and Christophe where killing it today both defensively and offensively. Jaime and Christophe both generated a ton of Ds, and had some nice grabs in the end zone. Spirit Shoutout to our favorite tall man, Jaime. There were some collisions, crowded spacing that occurred and he showed really good spirit in making a call against himself as well as making sure everyone was okay. Shoutout Shawna for absolutely obliterating Levi when he was covering her deep and slowed up because he thought it was too far and she made a nasty lay out to score on him (Levi’s words). Juliann never stops grinding and churns open under cuts constantly!

Orange- Beth, Peggy, and Katie all played phenomenally. The three of them counted for half the scores. Beth also had a number of great Ds. Ben Greenberg also had a lot of Ds, and was very smart with the disc as well. Dabney laid out to catch a hammer from Colletti.

Blue- Kate Marston was everywhere. She had a ton of great layout catches and a lot of great throws. Also Neville had a nice score against green and was solid defensively, holding his own in a bunch of tough matchups

White-Shawna was near unstoppable in the air against orange. She didn’t miss a single contested disc and D'd a bunch of deep passes. All the guys on white played really solid. Matt Joose also got a great layout D on an up line. Jaime had a couple really nice catches in the air for scores.

Green-Alex Mudd had a bunch of great scores and was solid defensively. Luis looked like he was always open. Nolan had a really nice sky going up in double coverage! Abby for a sick lay out D and pretty much being unstoppable.
