Shoutouts

Blue- Thanks to everyone who picked up to help offset our low numbers. Connor in particular made some great under cuts (despite wearing tennis shoes!). Kerina and Christoph both had nice throws to score in a back-and-forth second half against Red. Peggy did her usual Peggy things, getting open anywhere on the field almost at will.

Red- Kent: who had terrific attention to detail on the defensive end, causing several turnovers by blowing up dump throws, and smacking a deep throw away at half against blue.  Ariel, who continues to be a consistent backbone of our handling, as well as a vocal coach.  Nolan for his coaching at halftimes, and his consistent effort.  Stephen K, for his commitment to and success in getting clean, contactless, D's, upholding the platonic ideal of frisbee as a non-contact sport which I am CONFIDENT we are all VERY commited to.  Thanks to Anarae and Hana for picking up for us and letting us go 3:2 in our second game!

White- Great night for Caleb and David. Caleb had some nice defense and generated a couple scores late against red. David was part of the group that allowed us to come down 6-0 to tie the game. Also shout-out to Anna who subbed with us and throw and the game winning huck against red.

Gold- Seth for making killer plays all evening. His hammer throws towards the deep were connecting with high accuracy, he made saving defensive plays in the endzone, and had fantastic intensity throughout the whole night. Shoutout to Taylor and Godwin for rock solid handling skills as always but throwing more dimes than usual on offense.

Standings:

Gold: 8-3-1

White: 7-3-2

Shoutouts

Blue- Brice for grinding non stop. All the ladies; Victoria (sub), Peggy (sub), Anna (sub), and Cara for their work. They scored the majority of the points for both games and kept the disc moving.

Red- Barron shouted himself out for his handblock on Taylor’s scoober :P Additionally Kent for some great catches, Amelia for being open all the time, Nolan for making his amazing layouts seem routine, Cam and Jacob for never stopping.

White- Emmett played really well for white. He had a clutch D against red in the closing minutes and he scored a few more goals and got a few more Ds against Blue. Another great week for Emma as she got the full cycle to start the second half against Blue (goal, D, assist).

Gold- Our whole team was on something because everyone had a highlight moment. I could think of multiple points for each person that was an MVP. I could list them all out but then we would be reading a book versus a shoutout sooooo. Great job Gold! Keep up energy and grind!

Shoutouts

Blue- Abhi was a beast in the air for us - he caught a ton of 50/50 throws in the end zone. Kelly was a key part of our offense when she picked up in our first game (and it’s not easy to come out and play three games in your first week at winter league!). Quinn was really helpful with suggesting some improvements on offense and defense. Brice had some great under cuts and is always giving 100% when he’s on the field. Josh for being calm and steady under pressure. Also, shout-out to everyone who stuck around for the last game! It was great to have some energy from the peanut gallery when the game came down to the wire. Additional shoutout to the entire blue team for fighting so hard in our last game. We had a great comeback and we love to see this kind of fight. It was the tightest game. We will only keep improving this season.

Red- Amelia for a terrific performance coming off a 2-week injury break.  She had an incredible catch on a long bomb in the deep corner of the end zone.  Evan, who had to defend against a lot of deep throws and  rose to the challenge.  He also had some sneaky throws to bewilder  Kent, who shook off a rough first game performance for an excellent second game.  He and Cam worked to maintain possession for around 40 seconds to seal our win.  Ali, who had to run way more than should be expected.  We were 3-2 the first game and I heard Ariel say that Ali was probably out there about 90% of the game. And I (Dan) feel obligated to keep shouting out Nolan if he's gonna continually give max effort and throw himself to the turf with such astounding regularity. “Nolan is so fast with changes in direction - I felt like my glutes were on fire after guarding him.” - Josh

White- I (Tim) could literally shout out all of our FMPs every week. I thought Naomi especially played well in the deep space and got some great skies on O and D. Caleb was super speedy and got some nice Ds. Matt T was getting run-through D’s all over the place (Josh).

Gold- Shoutout to Ryleigh and Kelly (from Taylor)! It was their first week and they brought some much needed energy to the team. They were constantly giving it their all and had some very amazing plays/catches. Ryleigh also had several picture-perfect layouts (Josh). Along with that, they had great communication, super clean under cuts, and hustled the whole night. I (Tanya) loved hearing them call out for the disc and seeing their sick, very skilled layouts! Excited to continue having them on our team! Shoutout to Brian for that amazing deep cut and layout. Everyone on the team cheered and it brought up our teams energy. Something we could always use. I also heard quite a few times on the sideline team members complimenting his defense. His positioning was great and shut down his person plenty of times.  All around beautiful and of course personally proud Last one from me, shoutout to Hayden for multiple D's! One of the breaks he made gave us a huge amount of momentum and was a great way to turn the odds in our favor! Godwin (from Tim) for calling dangerous play. I think games had a bit more physical contact than normal so glad to see him see a dangerous situation, avoid it and make the right call.

Shoutouts

Blue- Clyde made a sick catch to beat the halftime buzzer in our second game. Kerina had several good throws and caught a horrible blade huck I threw to her. Thanks to Dan Bauer and Matt DeHoust for sticking around for the last game and giving us much-needed subs, and to Dangler for being a key part of our offense.

Red- Ariel, who was a vocal leader.  Also she fought through a twisted ankle to give us really valuable minutes.  Sean for some beautifully calculated D's and excellent handling.  Kent for some awesome throws.  Nolan had some spectacular plays an was a constant shot in the arm for us.  Thanks to Sean, Sydney and Peggy for picking up for us.

White- Collin was a menace on defense last night. He had at least two Ds in the air in the end zone. Sydney, Naomi, and Emma played 3 games in a row and were somehow still always open. Bodds and Kev were great at keeping the offense flowing with easy unders and around. Extra shoutout to Emma played four games in a row, and I don’t think she slowed down at all in the fourth.

Gold- Taylor did not miss on a single hammer or scoober all night. CK was killing it with sideline callouts, coaching, and hyping up his teammates. Also loved seeing him always there for the reset. Was very reliable.Austin had some killer saves laying out on the sideline to maintain possession. He had plenty of beautiful upline passes.

Shoutouts

Blue- Andy, abhi, and Josh were key in our offense. They kept the disc moving all over the field. Josh got a great over the head catch over his defender and never stopped running. Andy and abhi had some really great deep throws.

Red- Ali for playing really hard.  Even when she didn't get the best of luck she kept grinding.  Tonight I saw Cam run faster than I have ever seen him run before.  Josh for giving me a great continuation cut when I made a catch at the 1yd line like I always do (Capt Dan).  Thanks to day subs, Sean, Rachel, and Dangler for helping us out.  And shouts to the whole team for playing really hard!

White- Sydney and Collin played great. Both had great deep scores and had some fantastic deep shots. Also thought Emma might have had the catch of the night.

Gold- Nick DeHoust was shredding up the field with his sharp, fast cuts. The hustle was real. The energy was there. Loved the dedication. Callahan Morris was nuts on that last game shutting down his offender with his intensity and speed. Keep up the grind! He was putting in the work. Capt Taylor shouting out Capt Tanya for being a great co-captain plus she had some great Ds and deep scores on the field!.

Blue- Clyde caught like 3 scores in a row in our second game. Brice made great cuts all night. Andy, Christophe, Jackson, and Myke all had big plays in the waning minutes to tie the game against Red.

Red- Dylan for showing up big time in his first league game.  Always moving, and both throwing and catching points.  Shouts to Ariel for awesome versatility as a handler and cutter, and for making some sick grabs.

White- Day sub Sam was killing it today for white. He is going to be a beast once his growth spurt hits. Emma was all over the field, and Bods was playing hard D all night. John for sprinting back and recovering to make a crucial D in our second game

Gold- Kai for learning quickly and staying calm under pressure. He successfully kept getting open and took information in really well. Seth for doing so many sick successful layout D's. Giving us opportunities to score left and right with those turnovers in our favor. Shout out to Hassan for always booking it deep. Love seeing the field stretched and obviously scoring us points. Honestly it felt like he was everywhere. Great strikes. Great dumps. Great uplines.

Summer League Week 10

Game Scores

10:6 Pink v. Blue

13:6 Green v. Red

8:5 White v. Black

8:5 Blue v. Black

Green forfeited to Pink because they did not have numbers and they didn’t now how to count. Then they got subs for both teams and played. Green won but it didn’t matter.

Shoutouts

Blue- JC played great in the handler space and had a nice catch close to the ground. Pretty hard to not shout out Jonathan’s layout Callahan, which he caught off of his own pull. Fairly certain Caleb got it on drone video (unsure if he wants to share that with us lol).Michi, Katie, and Megan were all fantastic the whole evening. I believe this was the first week we had all three of them here, and they were a huge help in securing our quarterfinals win.

Black- Shawna and Caleb were the centerpiece for their offense and were difficult to contain. I don't think Dave Brown has aged in the last decade. X did a good job being active in the handler space. Joshua E. was working hard on defense and forced several turnovers. Shawna was grinding the unders while playing savage both games.

Pink- The whole team played so well in our first game! Shout out to Mr. Jaime for being very communicative when we ran our 6 person zone. Shout outs to Sahail and Nik for running the offense from the handler spots all night. Tanya for playing savage and bringing the energy all night. Josh was a constant pest on defense and was constantly open on O.

Red- Barron never fails in the handler space and his accuracy. He throws like the wind is non existent. Christophe putting his all despite the low numbers. Dan S. being his normal tall man self and getting several great catches. Jason sacrificing his knees for the glory of the disc.

White- Savannah went deep on Caleb for the last point and ran right by him to the endzone for an easy score. Matt Dehoust volunteered to watch the little Bradleys so that Ben could play. Callahan and Matt Dehoust have been on the sidelines for moral support at almost every game despite being injured for most of the season. Dan Colletti made some great cuts and had a couple of scores early in the black game.

Green- Caleb had great cuts all day. Ben scored a callahan on Red in Game 1. Coral and Ashley worked hard both games with no subs. All around Green came together and kicked butt both games despite low numbers. The other teams are lucky we can’t count and forfeited our shot at finals.

Shoutouts

Blue- Megan was playing tight defense and D’ed a disc with a high-IQ poach late in the game! Shout out to Katie also looked great in her first week back to league. She was consistently open, and was a huge help for us working the disc. Jonathan is just really good- especially tossing up a perfect deep ball. He forced teams to poach the deep space to try and stop the Nick to Jonathan connection downwind, which really opened up the unders. Lynn also did a great job grinding unders and finding open space! Bryce had some speed andgot some really nice run through Ds

Black- Young Joshua had an insane night! He pulled upwind endzone to endzone! He got multiple Ds (especially in the deep space), completed a half field huck for the score, and was churning wide open unders all night! MVP! Old Josh also did a great job - he was sliding on the ground for multiple catches and making smart plays and decisions in the backfield! Taylor was dialed in on throws as usual and always open as the reset! Captain Mathew has no idea how to stop Taylor from throwing almost whatever he wants. I could get him to stall 7-9, and he would just pull some magic out of his hat and find an upfield completion on the other side of the field.

Pink- Paolo seems to have unlocked a special skill that allows him to throw dime hucks upwind any time he wants. Tanya was awesome playing savage all night and still bringing energy and playing really well. Evan was again throwing bomb pulls and being a really solid cutter. Nuk was such a stead force as a handler in the wind. TJ had an awesome D off a pull to help almost complete their comeback against Red

Red- Baron was a key part of Red's offense with his break throws leading to easy scores for them. Baron’s no-look break throws were unreal. Jason made an insane layout catch in traffic to secure their final point against Pink for the win. Cam is always on point with his cuts.

White- Savannah made some excellent deep cuts for easy scores in the wind. Even ripped down a sweet 1-handed snag in game 1 between a group of 4 people. Pat caught the pull on the first possession of the night and threw a dime to Corey for the easiest score of the game against Red. James had some huge pulls both upwind and downwind. Best Godwin (Alex) kept getting some awesome pile up catches. She even caught a sweet 40 yard scoober from James. Extra shout out to Pat for also throwing two pulls that Green dropped.

Green- Splanger played really well filling in both the deep space and as a handler. Ashley and Coral did an amazing job playing every point for the last game and a half. Great defense and awesome cuts in the ho stack

Shoutouts

Blue- JC had a great catch where we thought he wasn’t going to be able to catch it and he stayed w the disc. Additionally, he had some great reads on contested catches, and was very reliable in the reset handler space. Jonathan Estes was ripping 80 yard pulls all evening. In our game against pink, he was pulling from the back of his own end zone just to keep the disc from going out the back. He also had one of the prettiest hammers I’ve ever seen to the break side in the end zone to connect with Megan, who saw it coming a mile away, in stride. I think those two might know each other.

Black- Caleb was dropping absolute dimes on his downwind hucks all night & killed it with his give and gos against Green!  Joshua got a huge D in the endzone against white! Erin played really well and got a D on an under and caught a stall 9 bail out huck from X that was pretty sick! JCP was GRINDING and always open! (Struggling to not name the whole team since we played really well without our handlers present). Pribe had 2-3 consecutive end zone shots to Caleb that were served on a platter - and he even threw the score to Shawna that forced universe point.

Pink- Spencer’s movement in the handler space is hard to defend. Seemed to always be open on arounds and strikes! Evan had some awesome pulls and was always open while cutting. Josh Black was really good on his continuation throws. Sohail was all over the place as a cutter. Tanya is so consistently open as a cutter and always open down field.

Red- Everyone on Red played well. Christophe had some crazy layouts. Luke, one of our pick up subs, was huge. Lucas was getting open all day - most improved new player! Cara was running the offense in the first game. Peggy was scoring all the time as usual. Cam, our pickup sub, with that catch while toe-ing the line perfectly. He also had several 50-50s and came down victorious. Jared's perfect upwind flicks for sideline scores. Chris, another sub, her d-game was on fire. Her 50-50 stats are so high! Barron threw so many dimes yesterday.

White- Even with a partial meniscus tear, Abhishek made some huge plays in the air on both offense and defense. Shoutout to team white with the best attendance at league every single week.

Green- Kent was running everywhere. He could not be contained! David did really well cutting. He looked like 20% faster than anyone on the field. Sydney played really well where ever we put her. Getting some nice deep cuts and filling in as a handler at times.

Field 3: Shoutout to that one spot on the field that successfully took out Pat, Andy, Abhishek, and Godwin.

Shoutouts

Blue- Christine picked up and played fantastic. She recorded 3 d’s on the evening (one of which she lost a cleat and still caught up to sky someone in the end zone). Izzy would like to extra shoutout Chris for D’ing Shawna in the endzone. Nick DeHoust couldn’t miss a deep shot or those 50/50 throws. Consistently finding resets and dropping dimes anywhere and everywhere on the field. Unlimited stamina - don’t think he took a single point off in two games.

Black- Dan w. put on the boosters for his last TWU games. Went up against several very tall opponents and came down victorious - establishing that there are players who are very good and still not yet on his level. Anselm made an incredible catch to prevent a callahan against Blue. Taylor had a nice layout grab to score the last point against Red. Xavier was making great cuts and seemed like he was always open. He threw a huck for a score too!

Pink- Paolo to Mary deep connection was really hard to contain. Tanya also had multiple 70 yard pulls that game. Evan and Josh Blake who were cutting really well and consistently in the right spot

Red- Stephen had a nice D in the end zone during a long point. Black had a front-row seat for Cara making a tough catch for a score against Pink and getting open and making tough catches against some good defenders.  On a day where we were mostly playing 6-1, Cara and Peggy seemed to be open everywhere even with all the poaches.

White- Will Hayes with that insane layout d to seal the universe win by getting that final possession for white. Great body control and he even caught it. One of the best plays Mat’s seen all league. James and Abhi had some great hucks. Alex and James used their marital connection for a crucial score out of a timeout.

Green- Green had great energy this week and pushed hard on several long points. Kent kept his cool and scored while under pressure by White defense in Game 1. Ariana was making great cuts and finding that open space, scoring in Game 2. Titus had a sick D on Pink in Game 2. Ben found the one dry patch on Field 1 and let everyone know by diving right into it to catch the disc. Ben killed it by catching over a minimum of 2 people every deep cut. David was awesome helping out on D in Game 2, turning the disc over for Green. Kurt had a really nice 40 yard laser huck to Coral. Titus had a few nice Ds

Shoutouts

Blue- Michi got at least 5 hand blocks and did an Allen Iverson step over after she skied Quinn in the endzone. Megan (spelling?) for a really good job finding open spaces on offense and scored at least once if not twice

Black- Erin did a good job finding open space and tried handling a little bit on our last point! Jake made a perfectly-timed catch on a floaty throw to set up a score. Shawna had another layout catch for a score against White. Our pickup players this week played great and were fun to have on the field. Dan Wilson likes to cut strike and throw big hammers and there wasn't much white could do to stop him. Taylor and Caleb both had huge throws in the wind. Shawna had a great layout score to bring the game to Universe Point.
Pink- Tanya and Hailey were grinding so hard when they were playing 3 of every 4 points. Evan was a cutting monster all night, Sohail was throwing dimes all night & was tough to guard in the handler space. Tanya was playing great defense. Clemson skied me on both offense and defense on the last point.

Red- Peggy was everywhere and still somehow gets faster every time I see her. Jason killed it with the help Ds as well & steady handling. He tired Captain Paddy out. Heather threw some very good inside flicks to break our marks. Barron made a rarely seen deep cut for a score. Jared had a couple blocks in the endzone. Dan S had a bunch of run through Ds. Jackson was a massive presence all over the field.
White- Andy made an awesome catch under pressure on universe point. Abhishek and James continued their stride from last week and moved the disc efficiently from the handler space. Lochlan had a block in the endzone against red and did well to reset the disc after catching the disc downfield. It was a great first week back from vacation. He did a great job sticking with his marks - even ones significantly bigger.
Green- The whole Logsdon family (Arianna, TJ, and Titus) for all three of them getting endzone Ds on the same point including two on Michi. Kent also played really well filling every role that the team needed.

Shoutouts

Blue- Megan had a great day cutting in the end zone. She scored 4 times over the course of the two games, which were all high contested bladesBryce was also a huge help in the end zone Monday night. Throughout our very huck happy evening, I think he caught around 5 of them? Just a great job stretching the deep space at the right time.Jonathan was largely the contributor to our huck happy night, which I think he completed 80% of. Upwind, downwind, same 1/3 of the field, it didn’t matter where he was shooting from. And that’s coming off a tournament weekend! Nick DeHoust had a handful of strategic pick calls to reel his mark back in.

Black- X did a really good job cutting and was always open both under and deep! Taylor was dialed in on his hucks and does a great job directing traffic. Katie caught an absolute laser of a hammer while on the run- it was sick!

Pink- TJ was playing awesome D all night, Tanya consistently brought good spirit both on the field and the sideline. Sohail was a steady handler all night and had a couple awesome completions to keep the offense moving. Mr. Jaime for being a really good teacher on the sideline as we worked through ho stack. Nuk and Spencer did a great job running the offense for their team.

Red- Palmer and Bont played a great two games for Red.  Steven did a great job for us on one leg in the second half. Dan S played great and was able to match up against the top players on the other team and come up with some great defenses.

White- Having Godwin back was a great catalyst for our offense. The handler movement was really good yesterday. William Solares was very active on the field and kept the offense moving. Corey and James were both un-guardable and were effective both in the handler and deep space.

Green- Harper really improved her cuts today, scoring 25% of our points in the 2nd game. Quinn and Kent did a great job keeping up team morale. Also props to Quinn for trusting Kurt to catch another pull immediately after dropping one. Our team had great defense overall, Coral really pushed herself as a defender.

Also Spencer shouted out Kurt for dropping a pull so he didn’t feel alone.

Shoutouts

Blue- Tyler Skeen is a DOG. He probably should’ve gotten the disc twice as much as he did with how often we saw him wide open. Every offensive matchup he had was dreading calling his number by the end of the point. On a day with very limited subs, he was working 110% on every point. Megan had a great day too, especially considering she was our only FMP for the first game. Super vocal on the sidelines, and had a couple great scores/d’s. Worth noting that catch Megan had under pressure was on Caleb M. and she wiped it on him. We could probably shoutout Jonathan Estes every week. You can plug and play him anywhere. He is both unguardable and can guard anyone.

Black- Both of Black’s games this week were a great team effort - everybody was patient with the disc and making good cuts. Katie, Jake, and Anselm had good Ds in/near the endzone against Blue. Dan had a crazy catch inches from the ground. Kevin and Xavier seemed like they were always open.

Pink- NEVILLE! He was so good today, had 2 Ds and another he would have had if he wasn’t fouled. Also really good as a handler. Nuk was playing really well as a handler (and sacrificing a chunk of his knee) and was playing hard D all night. Clyde and Jaime threw a couple of awesome forehand hucks. TJ played really good defense getting multiple downfield Ds!

Red- The entire red team was straight grinding with low subs and came out on top! Played exceptionally well despite their low numbers. Cameron was on fire - dropping dimes all night and was a pain in the butt to guard. He also had a crazy toe tap in the pink game that was both sensational and a crowd pleaser. Tommy and Cam were amazing subs for us, especially with our numbers. Christophe, Heather, Jared, and Stephen moved the disc so smoothly. Campbell was everywhere -he was a very active and efficient cutter. Jason sacrificed his leg and did solid handling through an injury. Steven handled the disc well and minimized their turnovers. Jared tried to bail Spencer out by trying to call a foul on himself when he straight up dropped a disc…. (Spencer’s words).

White- The whole team handled playing zone offense well despite never going over it. Pat had some exceptional pulls to the back corner. Callahan had a sick grab for a score between two defenders and grinded out in cut after in cut on a day when they mattered the most.

Green- Shoutout to Ben for asking Kurt if it was cool that he make play calls and coach people, because he was definitely gonna do it anyway. Another shoutout to Steve G. for sacrificing his ankle for our 2nd game. However, it didn’t appease the frisbee gods so we lost. Finally, shoutout to TJ for asking good questions to better his understanding of the game and his persistence in cutting to the end zone in game 2, which was rewarded with a point. Ben was the center piece for their offense and ignored whatever White decided their force was. Andy does not think he ever saw Kurt out of breath despite his consistent running.

Shoutouts

Blue- Megan is a very athletic cutter. She was consistently open, and scored on several quick cuts in the end zone throughout the evening. On an evening which seemed to be full of marathon points, JC played with a ton of composure. No matter how scattered or exhausted things got, he always made the high percentage option and kept the offensive system moving. Brice and Fiko seem to have some sort of telepathic connection going on in the break side hammer space. I think Fiko connected to Brice at least 4 or 5 times for a score there.

Black- Caleb had like 10 Ds and did really well in the handler space. He was making some smart poaches. Katie caught like 5 deep balls for scores! X did a great job cutting to the open space and taking shots down field. JCP had a sick chest high layout D to stop a deep shot. Kevin made whatever cuts he wanted and was open for most of them.

Pink- Evan played really well getting open consistently and catching everything that came his way. All three of our ladies (Mary, Tanya, and Izzy) were dominating for most of the night even with a few injuries. Spencer and Jaime were both always open - insanely good movement from the handler space. Clyde was consistently open on in cuts, I could go the rest of season without having to guard Paolo or Spencer in the handler space again.

Red- Stephen K. did really well too, winning some 1 on 1 battles in the air against us. Jackson and Campbell played really well, although we managed to increase our injured players by 2. Heather was a really steady handler in both games.

White- Andy had a lot of great up-line cuts and our team fought over who had to cover him! Pat threw an absolute dime huck from the brick. Callahan was glued to his defensive match ups all night. Abhishek was consistent in the handler space and had few to no turnovers. Lochlan "Locked in" Lochlan’s new nickname) is playing with more confidence in his cuts and defensive play. He recorded his first score of the season! Savannah also recorded several run-through D’s and scores.

Green- Ashley played awesome defense on Shawna and excelled as a horizontal stack cutter with great timing and movement. Stephen H. had a good day too with some really nice hucks. JP (sub) also absolutely killed it by always being open in the handler space and had some great layouts too. all the ladies did a great job grinding the unders and in general the team worked the disc well. They scored 4 straight points to beat us on universe. According to Barron “Green might also be the poachiest poachers who ever poached”.

Shoutouts

Blue- Sam made some great deep cuts for a couple of scores in our first game, which went to universe, so we needed every score we could get. Jonathan Estes is a defensive menace. I think he had maybe 6 or 7 blocks. On top of that, he’s a big deep threat thrower and great in the handler space. You can play him anywhere. I don’t know what kind of bet he had with Caleb, but I think he won.Tyler Skeen played where he needed to be all evening. Dude was never out of place, and had a great night.

Black- Kevin had a great D in the endzone and then sprinted the length of the field to get bookends against red (also, nice throw by Caleb). Joshua E. made a nice cut for a score and played some solid defense in his first day ever playing ultimate

Pink- Evan had a sick layout score. Mr. Jaime also somehow cut an IO hammer blade from Izzy for a score while falling on his back. shoutout to Mary for sacrificing her body & knees with her layouts. Clayvon was consistently getting up cutting and brought a great attitude. TJ handled well and stayed really patient even when it was chaos around him

Red- I think Jared somehow got faster. He had some nice Ds on deep throws. Dan S. was making plays on both sides of the disc. Cara did a great job cutting into open space and always being on the move. Dan S somehow marked up on me at the very first point and was successfully scary. We had good conversations about body control with the Red team. Campbell being everywhere. Lots of touches. It was Lucas’ first time playing frisbee and he picked it up so well. He got a hand block in our game versus black! I think it may have been on Taylor?

White- Savannah got some awesome run through Ds and cleaned up Pat's bobble in the end zone for a score. Abi had some amazing assists. I think he shot 100% from midfield (or farther) attempts.

Green- Overall we are thrilled with our team and could shout out a ton of people. We will start with Andrew who played his first games of ultimate ever and had 3 goals (including a few skies), an assist, and a D. For our FMPs, Coral had really great break side cuts, awesome continuations and broke some ankles in the end zone for a critical late game score against pink. Ariana has gotten sooo much more aggressive on defense. She was playing good defense in the endzone. Tim had some nice catches on the ground, and Quinn was good at d-ing women. Ben Slade had a sick goal-line layout score.

Black- Thanks to Quinn and Caleb for joining us and being consistent on O & D. Outstanding defense from Huffman.

Shoutouts

Blue- JP and Colum both had some nice layout catches. Colum also threw a clutch two-pointer in game 1. Callahan and Clemson were always hustling for the disc offense.

Black- Black: Dan threw a beautiful two-point hammer to Caleb (which spoiled Captain Pribe’s full-field into-the-wind pull. He’s very sad about it). He had numerous 2 point hammers that day. Johnny had two really sick layout catches and Jarred is super fast and always open for both deep balls and grinding the unders! Kelsey was ready for an easy in cut or a reset every time she was needed.

White- Always the most fun and spirited team with great athleticism. Peggy is somehow magically always open. Kurt diving everywhere and bringing the beach home with him. The background pirate music ain’t bad either.

Gold- Kevin and Paolo both snapped some flashy high release assists. Paolo made the wind seem non existent. He was throwing gorgeous hucks all day. I don’t know how many assists he had, but he definitely lead the team. Michi was also a huge help. She recorded 4 hand blocks on the day. She was also a big help with being another strong handler on a day with a lot of wind.

White- Sean had one of the most amazing high reach grabs for an upwind score that I've ever seen! Kurt just never slowed down!

Gold- Paolo for some incredible hucks on a very windy day where few saw success. He even connected to Clyde (awesome catch) for a game winner on universe. Brianne for weekly impressive defense. Especially for someone so new.
