Shoutouts

Blue- Tyler Skeen is a DOG. He probably should’ve gotten the disc twice as much as he did with how often we saw him wide open. Every offensive matchup he had was dreading calling his number by the end of the point. On a day with very limited subs, he was working 110% on every point. Megan had a great day too, especially considering she was our only FMP for the first game. Super vocal on the sidelines, and had a couple great scores/d’s. Worth noting that catch Megan had under pressure was on Caleb M. and she wiped it on him. We could probably shoutout Jonathan Estes every week. You can plug and play him anywhere. He is both unguardable and can guard anyone.

Black- Both of Black’s games this week were a great team effort - everybody was patient with the disc and making good cuts. Katie, Jake, and Anselm had good Ds in/near the endzone against Blue. Dan had a crazy catch inches from the ground. Kevin and Xavier seemed like they were always open.

Pink- NEVILLE! He was so good today, had 2 Ds and another he would have had if he wasn’t fouled. Also really good as a handler. Nuk was playing really well as a handler (and sacrificing a chunk of his knee) and was playing hard D all night. Clyde and Jaime threw a couple of awesome forehand hucks. TJ played really good defense getting multiple downfield Ds!

Red- The entire red team was straight grinding with low subs and came out on top! Played exceptionally well despite their low numbers. Cameron was on fire - dropping dimes all night and was a pain in the butt to guard. He also had a crazy toe tap in the pink game that was both sensational and a crowd pleaser. Tommy and Cam were amazing subs for us, especially with our numbers. Christophe, Heather, Jared, and Stephen moved the disc so smoothly. Campbell was everywhere -he was a very active and efficient cutter. Jason sacrificed his leg and did solid handling through an injury. Steven handled the disc well and minimized their turnovers. Jared tried to bail Spencer out by trying to call a foul on himself when he straight up dropped a disc…. (Spencer’s words).

White- The whole team handled playing zone offense well despite never going over it. Pat had some exceptional pulls to the back corner. Callahan had a sick grab for a score between two defenders and grinded out in cut after in cut on a day when they mattered the most.

Green- Shoutout to Ben for asking Kurt if it was cool that he make play calls and coach people, because he was definitely gonna do it anyway. Another shoutout to Steve G. for sacrificing his ankle for our 2nd game. However, it didn’t appease the frisbee gods so we lost. Finally, shoutout to TJ for asking good questions to better his understanding of the game and his persistence in cutting to the end zone in game 2, which was rewarded with a point. Ben was the center piece for their offense and ignored whatever White decided their force was. Andy does not think he ever saw Kurt out of breath despite his consistent running.
